Leo J. Koffeman (1948) is Professor Emeritus of Church Polity and Ecumenism at the Protestant Theological University (Amsterdam, the Netherlands). He retired as per September 1st, 2015.
He still is Extraordinary Professor of Systematic Theology and Ecclesiology at the University of Stellenbosch (South Africa), and Extraordinary Professor of Church History and Church Polity at the University of Pretoria (South Africa).
His research focuses on ecclesiology as a link between ecumenical theology and church polity.
Leo Koffeman is a former member of the Faith and Order Commission of the World Council of Churches. He presides the Faith and Order Commission of the National Council of Churches.
