Elise Alberts is pursuing a doctoral degree at the Protestant Theological University and Leiden University in the fields of theology and sociolinguistics. In her research, she is investigating the effect of multilingualism on faith experience. In particular, she is examining how language ideologies and language planning interact with lived theology. Her research is conducted within transnational church communities in the Netherlands.
Her supervisors are Prof. Dorottya Nagy (PThU) and Prof. Gijsbert Rutten (UL).
