Research

Two of perhaps the most fundamental questions a person can ask themselves, are: who am I? And: how do I lead a good life? At the PThU, we base all our research on these two questions.

  • Religious identity is never static, but always in motion. In the research programme Moving identities we ask about the influence of global processes. Consider the consequences of globalisation, migration and the ecological crisis on the identity formation of people and communities.

  • What is a good life? How does this take shape? And what do theological visions and practices contribute to the discussion about this within church and society? These questions are central to our Mediating Good Life⊕ research programme.
