Dear visitor,

As Rector of the Protestant Theological University (PThU), I would like to welcome you to our website.

Located in the historic city center of Utrecht, the PThU is an academic institution with a strong commitment to church and society. We have an excellent track record in research and teaching. Our faculty members are experts in their fields. Many of our research projects are conducted in close collaboration with partners from various sectors of society.

We offer programmes at the bachelor’s, master’s and PhD level. Our students come from a variety of cultural and theological backgrounds. Our courses integrate knowledge, skills, and spirituality when discussing issues of faith, the Church, and Christianity worldwide.

Studying theology at the PThU means becoming part of an academic community, where you will soon feel at home.
