How are we as humans connected to the earth we live on? Today, we face major issues that directly touch or arise from our dealings with land. For example, when it comes to food production, transport, consumption, climate change... A gap often becomes visible between theological thinking on such issues and the choices Christians make in practice. Guests in this episode are Mirella Klomp and David Onnekink, who in their research projects strive to make and strengthen precisely that connection between practices and faith in a very concrete way. What does that require of an approach? What language and images play a role in this? What does theology have to add at all to the attention already paid to sustainable choices and the Sustainable Development Goals? A conversation about blubber, man's place, responsibility, science and the question of chickeniness. - Article28 October 2023'Rentmeesterschap geldt voor hele maatschappij'Translated title of the contribution: 'Stewardship applies to entire society'

- Special issue (editing)1 June 2023Handelingen - Theologie aardenTranslated title of the contribution: Acts - Grounding theology
The June issue of Handelingen (Acts) magazine is dedicated to our dealings with the earth. Climate and ecological issues cry out for theological reflection on our place as human beings and on how we deal with the earth and all that lives there.
The articles in this theme issue are initial explorations of what a focus on soil might yield. The authors, who are part of the Soil Project Team, explore in several articles:
- the issue of (agricultural) land in the Netherlands, the questions of deacons and churchwardens and farmers around dealing with church leasehold land
- the sources from which pastors draw to arrive at a theological vision for the local land where they carry out their ministerial work
- the action embarrassment of pastors in preaching on climate issues
