O.D. Grootveld
Oscar Grootveld is a PhD researcher in Systematic Theology at the Protestant Theological University. He obtained his Bachelor's and Research Master's degrees in philosophy from the University of Amsterdam. His research is part of the Soil project, and focuses on the relation between the theological tradition (such as the theology of K.H. Miskotte) on the one hand and the lived practice of Christian communities on the other with regard to soil. This is done in collaboration with Marileen Steyn, postdoctoral researcher in practical theology. Their work focusses on mapping congregational theologies and practices of soil to contribute to the central research question of the Soil project: What are the qualities of a responsible, context-sensitive, embodied theological view on ground in the Netherlands, in light of 21st-century climate and ecological challenges?
