PThU-students in the spotlights
Our students will be appearing on the KRO-NCRV television programme “Petrus in het land” this coming Saturday.
It’s not every day that, as a student, you have a microphone thrust under your nose and are asked why you’re studying here specifically. It all happened a week or two ago here on Jansdam in Utrecht.
Vocation Sunday
No fewer than two camera crews from KRO-NCRV were filming for their programme ‘Petrus in het land’, in which the upcoming episode focuses on Vocation Sunday on 26 April. And so students were asked about their calling. Why did they choose to study theology? What drives them, what are their expectations?
After a somewhat shy start, things really got going at the PThU. Whether inside the meeting room or outside in our sunny garden, short conversations with the reporter took place everywhere. The camera crew was therefore very pleased with the ‘results’. Thanks, of course, to the enthusiasm of all the students.
Shadow a bachelor’s student
But that wasn’t all. The other crew from KRO-NCRV shadowed our bachelor’s student Eva van Berkel that day. They followed her during her studies, at the chapel service, and on a visit to a café terrace.
The result can be seen on ‘Petrus in het land’, Saturday 25 April at 5.10 pm on NPO2.
