Centre for Early Jewish Hermeneutics

In the Centre for Early Jewish Hermeneutics (CEJH), scholars from VU University, the University of Groningen, and the Protestant Theological University work together to study early Jewish exegesis of the Hebrew Scriptures/Old Testament.

About the CEJH

Bringing together specialists on midrash, aggadah, targum, the Dead Sea Scrolls, and reception history, the CEJH fosters interdisciplinary and collaborative research of Jewish engagements with their Scriptures.

Organisation

The CEJH is organised somewhat informally and, in addition to organising its own events, often joins forces with other specialists or research groups. If you are interested in collaborating with us or contributing to one of our events, feel free to contact our current coordinator, Bärry Hartog!.
