Lecture Doron Bar: Cemeteries as holy places?

The PThU's OT and Judaism Chair Group, in cooperation with Erasmus+, invites you to a lecture and subsequent discussion (in English) with Prof Doron Bar, historical geographer at the Schechter Institute in Jerusalem.
About the lecture
The lecture examines the phenomenon of 'tsadification', visiting graves of 'tsadikim', Jewish religious teachers, as a new form of pilgrimage in Israel. As a result, new memorials are emerging to replace existing, official shrines and secular memorials.
