Initial Graduate School students participate in Dragon's Den

9 November 2022

A series of dragon's den presentations concluded the first phase of the Initial Graduate School for students at the PThU, the Theological University Kampen | Utrecht and Jakarta Theological Seminary. In a gathering at our location in Groningen (with some participating online), they each had three minutes to pitch their research proposals to a team of professors, grant advisors and communications professionals.

Convincing pitches

Their 'elevator pitch' needed to make clear both what their project was about and why it would be worth the support of the panel. The panel eventually chose two PThU students as the winners for their convincing presentations.

Finetuning

The dragon's den was the conclusion of weeks of preparation by students, in which they investigated and finetuned their initial research question. The next step in their journey is to create a complete research proposal with which they can apply to our Graduate School. We wish them all the best of luck!
