What is my library number for requesting and renewing books?

-The library number is the code consisting of eight numbers on the front of your library card or student card starting with 19xxxxxx.

The library code on the front of my library card or student card exists of five or six numbers.

-Enter 190 (if library number exists of five numbers) and 19 (if library number exists of six numbers)

Where can I find the login screen?

-Go to https://pthu.on.worldcat.org/discovery?lang=en

-Click on the button Sign In in the right hand top corner of the screen.

What is my password?

-Make your own password by clicking in the login screen on set/reset password.

How do I change my password?

-Click on the button Sign In in the right hand top corner of the screen

-Enter your library number (eight numbers) and password and click on Sign In

-Click on your name in the right hand top corner of the screen and go to My Account

-Click on Change password

-Enter your Current Password, New Password and Re-type New Password

-Click on Change Password

I have forgotten my password.

-Go to https://pthu.on.worldcat.org/signin?postAuth=https://pthu.on.worldcat.org/discovery

-Click on set/reset password

-Enter your User Name and click on Request new password

-You will receive an e-mail message with a new password.

-Login with the new password.

Where can I find my contact information?

-Click on the button Sign In in the right hand top corner of the screen

-Enter your library number (eight numbers) and password and click on Sign In

-Click on your name in the right hand top corner of the screen and go to My Account

-Click near Contact Information on View

How do I request a book?

-Search for the book you want to borrow

-Click on the button Request

-Enter, if you are not already logged on, your library number and password and click on Sign In

-Click again on the button Request

-Choose your pick up location PThU Library Amsterdam or PThU Library Groningen

-Click on the button Submit

-Click on Close to go back to the search results

How do I reserve a book that is on loan?

-This is the same procedure as requesting a book, see ‘How do I request a book?

How do I get an overview of the books I have borrowed/reserved at the PThU library?

-Click on the button Sign In in the right hand top corner of the screen

-Enter your library number (eight numbers) and password and click on Sign In

-Click on your name in the right hand top corner of the screen and go to My Account

-On the screen appears the list of borrowed books (checkouts)

-Click on the button Renew to renew the loan period

-Click on Holds to see the list of reserved books

-Click on the button Remove, if you want the cancel your reservation

-Click on the button Edit to change your reservation, for example to change your pickup location.

How do I renew the loan period of borrowed books?

-Go to My Account

-On the screen appears the list of borrowed books (checkouts)

-Click on the button Renew to renew the loan period

               N.B. It is not possible to renew books reserved by another borrower!

Do I receive a message if the loan period is (almost) expired?

Yes, you will receive an email message some days before the loan period expires. Your will receive reminders if the loan period has already expired. A fine may be charged.

NB. You may receive these e-mail messages (no-reply and automatically send by OCLC) in your spam folder. Please change this in your email settings.
