Facilities

The reading rooms in the PThU Library are great places to study. There are computers and wireless internet for staff, students and visitors (Eduroam), as well as printing, copying and scanning facilities. There are also lockers available in which you can deposit items for safekeeping. Visitors are warmly welcomed to make use of the coffee and tea machines!

Place to study

Both in Amsterdam and Groningen, you can find reading rooms with several study places. The reading rooms contain a large collection of frequently consulted reference works on Biblical studies, Church History, Dogmatics, Philosophy of religion, Intercultural Theology, Religious studies, Practical Theology, Pastoral care, Ethics and several encyclopaedias and dictionaries. In addition you will find a large number of national and international journals in various languages and some electronic databases (ATLA Religion Database with ATLASerials, Religion & Philosophy Collection, e-Book Religion collection).

Library introduction programme

We have a library introduction programme for all international students in the beginning of September. Here you will learn how to use the library, the library catalogue and other databases. If you're in need of support during the year or you need help finding literature, our library staff is of course available to you. You can always contact us at library@pthu.nl.
